A new InsiderAdvantage poll shows Republican Rick Jackson ahead of Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms, 49% to 47%, in the race for Governor of Georgia. This poll comes just days after early voting began in Georgia and may reflect the race's outcome.

When was this InsiderAdvantage poll released? The poll was in the field as Georgians began casting early ballots on Tuesday.

It also comes on the heels of last week's statewide televised debate between Jackson and Bottoms, where Jackson laid out his plan to cut the state income tax in half, lower property taxes, and bring down the cost of health care, and pressed Bottoms on her record as Mayor of Atlanta.

What Rick Jackson and his campaign had to say:

  • Jackson via his Official X: “We have the momentum because Georgians across our state want a governor who shows up, stays, and finishes the job, not one who cuts and runs when things get hard. But it all comes down to the next 20 days. VOTE EARLY!”
  • Garrison Douglas, Campaign Spokesman: “Georgians watched Rick Jackson and Keisha Lance Bottoms on the same stage last week, and as they head to the polls, they are choosing the candidate with a plan to cut taxes and lower costs over the former mayor who quit on Atlanta after one term and still cannot answer for her record. This race is moving in one direction, and Rick is going to keep traveling the state and earning every vote until the last ballot is cast.”

What is the state of the Rick Jackson Campaign? The campaign declared victory after the first gubernatorial debate, where both candidates had the chance to engage with voters and lay out their vision for the State of Georgia.

Jackson, however, skipped the second debate, opting to go on a statewide tour with Governor Brian Kemp (R-GA) and First Lady Marty Kemp. The campaign held press events in Atlanta, Macon, Columbus, and Savannah before concluding with an evening rally in Columbia County.
