Greene Calls on Congress to Pass Bill to Ban Minor Sex Changes

Share

After President Donald Trump (R) signed an executive order banning all sex change operations for minors, Rep Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is once again calling upon the 119th Congress to pass her Protect Children's Innocence Act. Rep. Greene introduced the bill in both the 117th and 118th Congress but stalled in committees.

Ironically, it was then-Senator and current Vice President J.D. Vance (R) who introduced the companion legislation in the upper chamber.

The bill, according to Rep. Greene's latest press release relating to the legislation, intends to:

  • Charge any person who knowingly performed gender-affirming care on a minor with a Class C Felony (10 to 25 years in prison or maximum $250,000 fine).
  • Prohibits all taxpayer-funded gender-affirming care.
  • Prohibits institutions of higher education from providing instruction on gender-affirming care.
  • Deems aliens who have performed gender-affirming care on a minor as ineligible to receive visas or be admitted to the United States.

Rep. Greene shared the following message on social media, asking for her colleagues' support for the bill.

"We must pass my bill, the Protect Children's Innocence Act, to codify President Trump's [Executive Order] banning trans surgeries of minors into law," said Greene. "No child should have their genitals permanently mutilated, preventing them from ever being a parent, before they're even old enough to vote."

In 2023, the Georgia congresswoman received both cheers and jeers for describing the Democrat Party as the "party of pedophiles." When she went on 60 Minutes, she defended these comments.

Greene said, "They support grooming children" and “Democrats support — even Joe Biden the president himself — supports children being sexualized, having transgender surgeries. Sexualizing children is what pedophiles do to children.”

Moreover, Rep. Greene has introduced legislation in an attempt to codify another one of President Trump's executive orders.

Earlier this week, Greene celebrated Google announcing they would change their maps to say "Gulf of America" instead of Gulf of Mexico, following Trump's decision to change the name.

"Google has changed its maps to call the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of AMERICA after President Trump’s executive orders. But Congress must pass my bill officially changing its name so that a future America last admin doesn’t change it back!" said Rep. Greene.
