The Rick Jackson for Georgia campaign is placing an initial $87 million purchase across television and digital platforms, with ads beginning this Saturday, August 1, and digital ads running in every media market found in Georgia.
How does this purchase align with the campaign’s movement? The buy comes amid a summer of retail travel that is taking Jackson from South and Middle Georgia towns to metro Atlanta and North Georgia neighborhoods.
With this statewide tour, Jackson fully intends to meet voters where they are, hear directly from them, and share his vision for the state.
This purchase follows up on the massive primary expenditure in which Rick Jackson contributed $108 million of his own funds towards securing the Republican nomination.
What the campaign had to say:
- Garrison Douglas, Rick Jackson for Georgia Campaign Spokesman: “Rick Jackson has spent this campaign showing up in places candidates usually skip, and this buy makes sure all 11 million Georgians hear the same thing the people in those rooms have heard, which is that he is running to fight for them.”
- Continued: “After serving herself and her friends, Keisha Lance Bottoms walked away from Atlanta when the job got tough, and families paid the price. We cannot let her return to power. This is the largest general election buy of this race, and it reflects exactly how seriously we take the job of earning every vote in every one of Georgia's 159 counties.”
Further Context: This announcement comes at the same time as the campaign’s launch of its South Georgia bus tour.
Specifically, Rick Jackson and his team will travel across South Georgia on a two-day bus tour, stopping in Blakely, Thomasville, and St. Marys to meet with voters, small business owners, and community leaders.
At each stop, Jackson will talk with Georgians about his plan to cut the state income tax, freeze and lower property taxes, and drive down the cost of health care.
The Republican nominee will also contrast his vision for Georgia with Keisha Lance Bottoms’s record as Mayor of Atlanta.
