Former State Senator John F. Kennedy announced that he received the endorsement of State Representative David Clark (R) of Buford, a decorated U.S. Army Green Beret and former candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.
Rep. Clark is a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and earned the Green Beret in the U.S. Army Special Forces.
As a state representative, he has represented parts of Gwinnett, Forsyth, and Hall Counties in the Georgia House of Representatives since 2015.
Rep. Clark also received over 140,000 votes in his bid for Lieutenant Governor and is calling for Georgia Republican voters to support John F. Kennedy in the upcoming June 16th runoff election.
Kennedy took the lead in the primary election with 27% of the vote and will face off against State Senator Greg Dolezal (R), who earned 23% of the vote. Rep. Clark came in fourth with 16%.

Rep. David Clark drew on his experience as a Green Beret when he decided to endorse Kennedy. According to him, Kennedy is the one to trust when the fight intensifies, and you need a solid leader to get you through.
“As a Green Beret, I learned the hard way that when you are in the fight, the only thing that matters is who you can trust standing next to you,” said Clark. “John F. Kennedy is that kind of leader.”
He continued, “After serving with John in the General Assembly for over a decade, I have watched him deliver real conservative results for Georgia time and time again – never caring who got the credit or making promises he wouldn't keep.”
Kennedy was incredibly grateful to receive this endorsement and praised Clark for his dedication to Georgia. He also praised Clark’s campaign and his insistence on the issues.
“I am incredibly grateful for his support, and for the principled, issues-focused campaign he ran,” Kennedy stated. “David never lost sight of the challenges hardworking Georgians face every day, and he deserves enormous credit for putting those issues at the center of this race. I am honored to have him in this fight with us as we work to earn every vote.”
