Representative Mike Collins (R-GA) received a flurry of endorsements from his congressional Republican colleagues ahead of the June 16th runoff election. The Representative heads into the runoff with a commanding lead, earning 41% of the vote in the primary election.
For reference, political outsider Derek Dooley earned 30% and now faces a substantial challenge of making up the difference if he wants to challenge Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) in November.
Rep. Collins first received endorsements from Representatives Austin Scott (R-GA) and Brian Jack (R-GA). As reported in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Rep. Scott called him a “friend and fighter for the people of Georgia.”
Rep. Jack issued a statement via X in which he described Rep. Collins as a conservative workhorse, proven legislator, and steadfast supporter of the America First agenda.

Mike knows our district incredibly well, as his father, Mac, honorably represented us in Congress for 6 terms, leaving a lasting legacy in…

Rep. Collins thanked his Georgia colleagues for the support and committed to not slowing down in the fight to unseat Sen. Ossoff.
It’s an honor to have colleagues, @BrianTJack and @AustinScott4GA in the Convoy with me to defeat Jon Ossoff.

Recent Endorsements
More recent endorsements came after a clip of Derek Dooley on 11 Alive surfaced on X, in which the candidate rejected the idea of deporting illegal immigrants.
When asked for his perspective, Dooley suggested that they be fined or made to do community service. He then stated, “They want to feel like they don't have to look over their shoulders every 5 minutes and worry about us taking them out of the country.”
This response drew the ire of hardline congressional Republicans like Representative Brandon Gill (R-TX). He simply responded, “Absolutely not.” After this, he urged voters to support Collins.
Absolutely not.

Newly elected Representative Clay Fuller (R-GA) issued a similar statement, calling for the deportation of illegal immigrants and declaring border security a matter of national importance. His endorsement of Collins soon followed.
Deport ALL illegals.
Border Security is National Security.
