Gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson continues to throw out Republican political red meat to primary voters, as the self-funding gubernatorial hopeful has targeted the "idiotic DEI" ideology.
"We'll ban every bit of idiotic DEI insanity," Jackson said in a video he posted to X, formerly Twitter.

"My hiring approach is just like the NBA's," he said in the video. "The best people hit the floor."
Jackson owns a healthcare company, and emphasizes his political outsider status in his campaign, adding that when he hiring for his company, he looks at every candidate and hires the best one.
"I think some of the teachings of DEI is discrimination," Jackson said. "I think people should be hired off of merit and capability."
In several previous posts, he has made the same claims about banning diversity, equity and inclusion measures, in addition to calling for the criminalization of "reverse discrimmination."
