Political outsider and senatorial candidate Derek Dooley announced the release of his first television ad for the May 19 Republican primary for the U.S. Senate, and the ad will run starting April 21.
The ad, titled “The Boss,” focuses on Dooley’s “Georgia First Contract,” a comprehensive list of promises including: enacting term limits, banning insider stock trading, ending government shutdowns, and working with President Trump for the people of Georgia.
The outsider candidate commented further on the ad and the basic message of his campaign. According to Dooley, Georgians can’t trust his opponents to make the same commitments and are only in the race to enrich themselves.
“I am running because hardworking Georgians need a true political outsider who knows they’re the boss and works to deliver results for them in the Senate,” Dooley explained. “D.C. politicians like my opponents are more focused on getting rich and famous than working for the people they were elected to serve.”
He continued, “As Senator, I will work tirelessly to enact term limits, ban congressional stock trading, stop government shutdowns, and end politics as usual in Washington, D.C.”
The Ad
“The Boss” begins with Dooley taking one final question during a meet-and-greet event. He is asked the fundamental question of his campaign: “What makes you different?”
Dooley responded by explaining how "D.C. politicians" focus only on getting rich and famous, without ever fulfilling their promises. He further explained that he can draw on his experience as a football coach and spot "me-first" guys immediately.
The outsider declared that, as senator, he’ll never forget that "You’re the Boss." Put simply, Dooley’s campaign is highlighting his commitment to Georgians and their will for what goes on in the Senate.
In a final declaration, Dooley affirmed his willingness to work with the Trump Administration, but only in the interest of Georgians. He stated, "I'm going to work with President Trump, but for you."
As your Senator, I’ll never forget that you’re the boss and D.C. politicians need accountability.
