Attorney General Chris Carr has launched his new “Eyes on the Road” Campaign, a public safety initiative to locate and recover missing children.
The Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit is leading the effort and seeks to recruit the private sector in the fight to combat human trafficking in Georgia.
AG Carr commented on the brutal nature of human trafficking and emphasized its victimization of children. Citing the partnership, the attorney general touted that law enforcement will have even more resources on hand to save more lives.
“The majority of our human trafficking cases involve a missing child, and we’re using all available resources to safely bring them home,” AG Carr stated. “By partnering with UPS, RaceTrac, Truckers Against Trafficking, and GHLA, we’re able to expand our footprint and save even more lives. We will never stop fighting to protect our most vulnerable Georgians.”
The Campaign
Several companies are already participating in this initiative, including the United Parcel Service (UPS), RaceTrac, Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), and the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association (GHLA).
For context, participating companies receive “Be on the Lookout” alerts for missing children, along with clear, actionable steps to report any sightings. By joining the campaign, organizations become a vital part of a statewide network working to bring children home safely.
For a business to join the campaign, all it takes is the completion of four steps. First, they must fill out the webform to sign-up and designate a "Point Person," someone in their company who will act as the liaison for the “Eyes on the Road” Campaign.
Second, the "Point Person" will receive missing child alerts and campaign materials via email.
The "Point Person" will then share alerts that correspond to their company’s policies and procedures, encouraging their staff to report any sightings or suspicious activity in response to the alerts.

Now, we’re partnering with @UPS, @RaceTrac, TAT (Truckers Against Trafficking) & @GeorgiaLodging to expand our footprint so we can rescue even more victims & save even more lives.
