During an interview with Fox News' Laura Ingraham, President Donald Trump took a strong stance on the H-1B work visa program. The President stated that H-1B immigrants are necessary because there aren’t enough ‘talented’ Americans to fill necessary jobs.

The President's comments have received backlash from conservatives like Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who hold an 'America First' stance.

In the interview, Ingraham herself pointed out that wages cannot be raised for American workers while inviting foreign labor.

Responding to the claim, Trump doubled down, stating that people cannot be recruited out of an unemployment line for a highly specialized role.

Representative Greene responded to the President's comments, openly disagreeing with Trump’s positions. In a social media post, she first affirmed her belief in the American people and their capacity for creativity, hard work, and ambition.

Greene then affirmed that she is solidly against American workers being replaced by foreign labor, especially H-1B workers. She also expressed opposition to Trump’s recent plan to bring 600,000 Chinese students to financially support universities across the country. If the universities fail, it doesn’t matter to Greene, who believes they do nothing to support young Americans anyway.

The Representative also reaffirmed her ‘America First’ stance, stating that she was elected to represent the American people.
