Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) has continued to air out her grievances over the state of healthcare in this country, blaming Democrats for passing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Republicans for failing to shut it down.
Greene first became heavily critical after the government shutdown, which is set to enter its third week with no compromise between Senate Democrats and Republicans in sight.
For the Georgia Republican, the affair boils down to one thing: healthcare spending. Republicans want to allow ACA tax credits to expire and defund healthcare spending for illegal immigrants. Democrats want to retain ACA tax credits and ensure healthcare funding for illegal immigrants.
Greene traces the healthcare crisis back to 2010, when the ACA was passed and implemented by the federal government. She argued this in response to Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D) blaming Republicans for the healthcare crisis.
DEMOCRATS created the healthcare crisis in America in 2010 by passing the Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare.
DEMOCRATS made it worse in 2021 by extending the tax credits.
It’s been 15 years, yes it’s past time to address it by building the off ramp off Obamacare!!! https://t.co/VEGO6fml93

Greene also responded to House Speaker Mike Johnson (R), who claimed that many Republicans are skeptical of repealing and replacing the ACA. According to him, the roots are too deep, and it was knowingly created to implode within itself. To Greene, this position is unacceptable, and Republicans need to act as soon as possible.
This is an unacceptable Republican position.
Even Democrats are saying that Obamacare destroyed the health insurance industry and they voted for it!
Republicans must have a plan that responsibly builds the off-ramp off of Obamacare.
What is the Republican plan??? https://t.co/nwsMz65Fye

Finally, Greene pointed to the increase in ACA premiums that has been almost entirely paid for by taxpayers. This kind of spending is unsustainable, and the Georgia Representative has urged Republicans to confront this and make healthcare affordable again.
Why is MTG talking nonstop about health insurance literally to anyone and everyone?
Democrats created this entire crisis. They voted and passed the ACA/Obamacare and added the Covid tax credits in 2021 that expire this year. There is a big increase in premiums starting January… pic.twitter.com/XBpazYQJq7— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) October 14, 2025
