Representative Mike Collins’s (R) campaign is off to a strong start as the congressman has raked in numerous endorsements from Georgia state lawmakers, including those of Reps. Chas Cannon (R), John Corbett (R), Noel Williams (R), Matt Barton (R), John LaHood (R), and Robert Leverett (R) of the Georgia House.

Rep. Collins has also received endorsements from representatives of other states and local figures, including Rep. Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) and Frank Reynolds, the Sheriff of Cherokee County.

The campaign's ground strategy is active, having already hosted multiple rallies across the state. Just last week, the congressman was in Gainesville, meeting with voters and advertising his candidacy. He commented, “Great time in Gainesville today catching up with friends and spreading the word on how Georgia needs new, conservative leadership in the U.S. Senate.”

Just three days later, he made his way to Floyd County and campaigned at the Tillman Rally. He commented, “You can feel the energy around our campaign in every corner of Georgia. Always glad to be back in beautiful Floyd County for the annual Tillman Rally.”

Alongside this momentum, Rep. Collins has garnered a strong lead among voters, according to a poll conducted by the TechnoMetrica Institute of Policy and Politics and obtained by the Daily Caller.  The poll measured the popularity of the Republicans running for Senate, and he took first place with 27% of the vote.

Rep. Carter came in second place with 20%, and Derek Dooley came in third with 8%. This poll has come out quite early, but it acts as a confidence booster for the Collins campaign, looking to maintain this lead into the primary election.

The campaign is looking strong and Rep. Collins is shaping up to be a considerable contender for the 2026 senatorial race. If he maintains this momentum, he may prove to be a serious threat to Senator Jon Ossoff (D).
