Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) has formally introduced new legislation to restore integrity and security to the election system. The Making American Elections Great Again Act is set to make changes to the census, congressional districting, and election security.

The bill is only thirteen pages long, but it makes significant changes to the law. The first major change is that it orders a new census immediately upon enactment, counting only U.S. citizens.

Based on this new census, the bill will require states to redraw congressional districts. It will also reschedule the next census for ten years after the completion of this one.

For context, the census currently counts everyone, including non-citizens, for congressional apportionment purposes. This gives sanctuary states like California inflated representation in Congress, and punishes red states that respect the rule of law.

Alongside those changes to the census, the bill also ramps up election security. First, it will require proof of citizenship and a photo ID to vote in all federal elections.

Second, it will impose criminal penalties on anyone distributing ballots without verifying citizenship. Third, it criminalizes any attempt to help noncitizens vote in federal elections.

In a press release from her office, Rep. Greene explained how this bill is specifically formulated to counter Democrats’ attempts to inflate and manipulate elections.

“For years, Democrats have flooded our country with millions of illegal aliens and used them to rig our political system—now they’re saying the quiet part out loud. They want illegals for redistricting. That’s not democracy, it’s foreign interference,” Rep. Greene stated. “My bill puts a stop to it.”

This is a top concern for Rep. Greene, especially since some Democrats have openly expressed their desire for more illegal aliens just for redistricting.

“This bill is about fair representation, national security, and protecting the vote of every single American citizen,” Rep. Greene continued. “Illegal aliens should never be counted for congressional seats or allowed to vote in our elections—period. That’s not controversial, it’s common sense.”

With the Making American Elections Great Again Act, Rep. Greene fully intends to end the scam and restore voting power for American citizens.
