A domestic terror attack recently took place in Boulder, Colorado, against eight peaceful protestors. Georgia lawmakers rallied to support the victims and the Jewish community.ย

The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, is an Egyptian national who shouted โ€œFree Palestineโ€ while setting the protestors on fire. The protestors rallied to call for the release of Israeli hostages by Hamas.ย

Gov. Brian Kemp (R) was swift in calling for prayers on X. He encouraged people to pray for the victims and a speedy investigation by law enforcement.โ€

Kemp concluded his statement with a renewal of support for Israel and the Jewish community. He continued, โ€œOur support for Israel and our Jewish friends and neighbors must continue to be unwavering in the face of these cowardly acts.โ€ย

Lt. Gov. Burt Jones (R) called the attack devastating and heartbreaking. He also denounced hate and targeted attacks in this country.ย

Jones also renewed his support for Israel and the Jewish community. He concluded, โ€œThe Jewish community, and our brothers and sisters in Israel continue to face acts of violence and we will not stand idly by. Our commitment to Israel and its people will not waver, and our support for our ally remains steadfast.โ€

Senator Raphael Warnock (D) said his heart broke when he heard the news and called the attack horrific. He pointed out that this attack occurred on the Jewish holiday, Shavuot.ย

Warnock called for an end to antisemitism and a unified effort to confront it. He concluded, โ€œJewish communities across the country are facing a disturbing increase in antisemitic attacks. We must raise our voices together to condemn antisemitism and violence in every form.โ€

Finally, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene responded to the terror attack from a different angle. Mohamed Sabry Soliman entered the U.S on a work visa in 2022. He was supposed to leave in 2023, but overstayed and filed an asylum claim.ย

The Biden administration granted him work authorization that expired in March 2025. Greene highlighted this attack as an example of why deportations must happen more often.

Greene concluded, โ€œ Now imagine who came across the border and got away, meaning they were never stopped during the Biden admin. There are millions of got aways in the U.S. and we donโ€™t know where they are or what they will do.โ€
