Georgia representatives have been busy tackling multiple issues, including energy and the upcoming Senate race. Since his senatorial announcement, Rep Buddy Carter has made it a point to advertise his campaign on social media. Rep. Rich McCormick has professed support for nuclear power.ย

Rep. Carterโ€™s campaign has so far been an effort to differentiate himself from his democratic counterparts. On X, Carter has posted several times about how Sens. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff donโ€™t properly represent Georgians.ย

In a recent post, Rep. Carter called them unhinged for voting in favor of a Green New Deal policy. Carter stated, โ€œGeorgia Senators Jon Ossoff & Raphael Warnock voted to BAN gas-powered cars. The radical left is unhinged.โ€

Carter has also characterized his Senate run as a way to strengthen the MAGA agenda. He made an appearance on Fox News to discuss how it would fare in the Senate.ย

He suggested that it might undergo radical changes, compromising its effectiveness. He commented on X,

โ€œI'm running for the Senate because President Donald Trump has a mandate to Make America Great Again. Georgiaโ€™s Senators are blocking him, and itโ€™s putting your safety and paycheck at risk. I wonโ€™t stand by. We must pass the One Big, Beautiful Bill NOW," stated Carter.

On the other hand, Rep. McCormick has come out in support of nuclear power. This is in response to President Trumpโ€™s recent executive order that revitalizes the growth of nuclear energy.ย

Rep. McCormick wants Georgia to lead in advancing the industry. He also believes that it is the cleanest solution to the energy problem facing the country.ย

President Trump's recent executive order, Reinvigorating the Nuclear Industrial Base, promotes the production and operation of nuclear energy. This move facilitates the next generation of technologies that will SECURE America's energy dominance," stated McCormick

While these representatives are focused on completely different issues, both intend to advocate for Georgiaโ€™s best interests. Energy and strong representation will always be in demand.
