Inauguration Day

It's Inauguration Day, and the day Republicans (most Americans) have waited for is finally here. Today is Martin Luther King Day, and President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.

It will be colder than an ice box in Washington, D.C., but that is OK for MAGA, who has braved the weather and traveled to the Capitol to see President Trump take the oath of office.

The who-is-who of National Republican politics, including dozens of senators and representatives from Georgia are in the nation's capitol this week.

Soon-to-be Secretary of State, Senator Marco Rubio showed up late, but still found time to come up to me and recite one of his trademark and corny personal digs in his feeble attempt to poke fun at me to my wife on his way out.

While he tries to be funny, I do have to give him credit for having one of the best Tony Montana accents.

Without telling too much about how his new gig will play out in the coming weeks and months, I can tell you that his media publisher will not skip a beat, and will be making some of those state trips abroad as part of the traveling press (wifey still has final say on this).

The Agenda

President Donald Trump has vowed to reverse all of President Biden's tragic and ill-advised presidential mistakes, including putting an end to the open border crisis the he created.

Rep. Marjory Taylor Greene reminded Americans that President Trump will take on the Mexican drug cartels as soon as he takes office.

"The war on the cartels begins tomorrow. Time to protect our Homeland," stated Rep. Greene on "X."

President Trump is reported to be about to drop 100+ executive orders on Day 1.

The Dance

President Donald Trump performed his trademark shuffle dance on stage at his inauguration rally with The Village People.

The Cold

While the inauguration has been moved inside due to frigid conditions in Washington, a big swath off the country, including Georgia, is also in for a deep freeze. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is warning Georgians to heed the weather warnings and day inside.

Throughout this weekend, we're monitoring and preparing for the incoming winter weather front. As we do so, I urge all Georgians to take precautions now and ensure you and your family can remain safe in the coming days, especially if icy conditions prevent use of roads," stated Gov. Kemp

Lt. Governor Burt Jones-I applaud @GovKemp for delivering a strong State of the State message that provides a clear path for Georgia moving forward. He has my support on key issues including increased funding for school safety, cutting taxes, additional healthcare coverage opportunities for families and caregivers and meaningful litigation reform. I look forward to our continued partnership to ensure that Georgia remains the number one state in which to live, work and raise a family.

GA AG Chris Carr-Finishing with the Biden administration the same way we started - in court.

This 11th hour ban on offshore drilling would increase prices for hardworking Georgians & threaten the reliability of American energy production.

Monday can’t come soon enough.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk-Most Americans work forty-plus hours a week just to pay their bills and put food on their tables. Now, progressives in Congress only want to work 32 hours for the same pay? Taxpayers already fund their salaries and benefits, and now they want to put in less work for their pay. This is the mentality of the far left, — always wanting the government to give more without earning it.
