Representative Brian Jack (R-GA03) has endorsed Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones (R-GA) for governor in 2026.

The two Republican leaders met at the Fayette County Republican Party breakfast gathering over the weekend, where the Representative discussed their shared history of support.

In Rep. Jack’s statement, he noted that Lt. Gov. Jones was the first Georgia elected official to endorse him in 2024 and President Trump in 2015. This shared support between the two goes back a long time and is partially based on their backing of the President.

Rep. Jack is running for reelection as the Representative of Georgia's third congressional district. As of now, only two Democrats have launched campaigns to challenge him, including Maura Keller and Adrienne Buhacoff.

The President's Endorsement

The endorsement comes just six days after President Donald Trump announced his official endorsement of Lt. Gov. Jones. In the President’s official announcement, he expressed full confidence in the Lt. Governor’s ability to win the governor’s race handily.

He also referred to Lt. Gov. Jones as a ‘good friend’ and gave him credit for his work as Lt. Governor.

The endorsement is based on the expectation that Jones will bring in unprecedented job growth and economic recovery.

President Trump also expressed full support for Jones’s leadership in reforming tax policy and reducing the income tax rate. His tough-on-crime stance and protection of girls’ sports also received praise from the President.

On a final note, President Trump urged Georgians to take this election seriously and vote for Jones as the only viable candidate.
