Georgians representing the 14th Congressional District will head to the polls Tuesday to choose who will fill Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene's seat following her resignation in January.

If one candidate does not recieve at least 50% of the vote in the special election, the two candidates with the most votes, regardless of party affiliation, will advance to a runoff election scheduled for April 7, an increasingly likely outcome.

With the Republican vote split among 12 candidates, each of the three Democratic candidates has a higher chance of claiming one of the two runoff spots. A Democratic win could have broader implications for the legislature as Republicans hold a slim majority in Congress.
