On the heels of President Donald Trump's visit to Georgia, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new digital ad on Senator Jon Ossoff’s (D-GA) congressional voting record.

Republicans accuse Sen. Ossoff of voting in lockstep with the Biden-Harris administration's "open border" policies, which let millions of illegals into the country, including Laken Riley's murderer. This past Sunday marked two years since the murder of Riley.

Nick Puglia, the NRSC’s press secretary, commented on the Senator’s voting record and had nothing but scathing criticism. To Puglia, Sen. Ossoff’s priorities are completely out of step with his role as Senator, and he is partially responsible for the harm that comes to Georgians as a result.

"Jon Ossoff voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' open borders policies every step of the way, and the consequences have been deadly for victims like Laken Riley. Ossoff fights for criminal illegals and Georgians pay the price," said Puglia.

The new ad incorporates statements from Ossoff and news anchors to demonstrate the consequences of his policy preferences.

For example, the ad begins with a statement the Senator made at a rally in which he described the motivation for why so many people choose to immigrate. He stated, “Millions of immigrants have come here because they believe this country is on a journey.” The ad then turns to a news anchor, stating, “The murderer of an Augusta University nursing student, Laken Riley, in Athens. Police say she was killed by an illegal immigrant.”

After the release of the ad, the NRSC provided a follow-up statement on X, pointing out how Ossoff has never addressed the murder of Laken Riley.

According to the NRSC, he has never even said her name.
