Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) held a campaign rally over the weekend to gather support ahead of this year’s senatorial election. In his remarks, the Senator heavily criticized the Trump Administration over the rising costs of healthcare and the escalation of immigration enforcement.
Posting to X, Sen. Ossoff highlighted a moment of his speech where he painted President Donald Trump as a hypocrite for appealing to the working class while rewarding the ultra-rich.
Trump was supposed to fight for the working class.
Instead, he's closing rural clinics and hospitals to cut taxes for George Soros and Elon Musk.
This is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich. pic.twitter.com/3Xsob4PRJm

Reactions
The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) responded by issuing a series of scathing posts about the Senator’s congressional record. They pointed out how Ossoff voted to shut down the government, leaving veterans without support.
Remember when Jon Ossoff abandoned our veterans and voted to shut down the government?
He chose to rip lifesaving services away from Georgia's veterans in order to give free healthcare to illegals.
Radical and out of touch with Georgia.

NRSC press secretary Nick Puglia weighed in, countering Ossoff’s claim that the President forced the closure of a rural hospital, arguing instead that the closure began under President Joe Biden. Puglia also stated, "Jon Ossoff wants to protect criminal illegals like Laken Riley’s killer from deportation. Ossoff is a liberal fraud who desperately called for President Trump’s impeachment and never votes for Georgia's values."
The rural hospital Ossoff references began its closure under Joe Biden.
But as usual, Ossoff blames President Trump for Democrat's failures. https://t.co/ejSqXOMwUj pic.twitter.com/Z8GdidGlki

The leading Republican candidate for Georgia’s senatorial race, Representative Mike Collins (R-GA10), also responded with a video of his own, critiquing the Democratic Senator for his presentation and rhetoric.
To Rep. Collins, the focus should’ve been entirely on what Ossoff achieved as a first-term senator. Rather, Collins says that Ossoff dedicated his time to reinforcing his status as an opposition candidate.
Jon Ossoff held a “Georgia” rally that was literally paid for by California democrats.
It’s past time we sent California’s third senator home. pic.twitter.com/MHtfONnnRJ
