State Representative Mandi Ballinger (R) has passed away after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Ballinger represented the 23rd district, chaired the Judiciary Juvenile Committee, and served on the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Transportation, and Reapportionment and Redistricting committees.
House Speaker Jon Burns (R) released a statement on the loss of Ballinger, commenting on her unwavering resilience and utmost dedication. Burns also remarked on her leadership and commitment to protecting the most vulnerable among us.

Governor Brian Kemp (R) released a statement, mourning the loss of Ballinger and remembering her as a passionate leader who was respected across the political aisle.
