Two years ago, on October 7th, 2023, Hamas launched a surprise attack against the state of Israel, killing over one thousand Israeli people and taking over a hundred hostages. The attack devastated small communities and roped the entire nation back into a full-scale war against Hamas.

On the second anniversary of the attacks, Georgia Republicans have united to stand with Israel and the Jewish community.

Representative Buddy Carter (R) called for prayers and placed emphasis on the hostages who still have yet to return home.

Rep. Mike Collins (R) called for people to remember the attacks and pray for peace.

Rep. Rich McCormick (R) announced his unwavering support for Israel and remarked on how the war continues to this day.

Rep. Andrew Clyde (R) called Hamas a force of ‘unspeakable evil,’ and urged others to pray for lasting peace in the Middle East.

Governor Brian Kemp (R) announced Georgia’s unwavering support for Israel and similarly called on people to pray for the release of the remaining hostages like Evyatar David.

Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones (R) referred to the Oct. 7th attacks as ‘unfortunate and unforgettable,’ and announced his unequivocal support for Israel and the Jewish community.

Finally, Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared that the United States remains steadfast in its commitment to support Israel against terror and the suffering of innocent people.
