President Donald Trump (R) has celebrated a new era of peace in the Middle East after signing a new deal between the State of Israel and Hamas. Israel backed off its frontline positioning in Gaza, and in exchange, Gaza released the remaining living hostages.
The deal marks the end of the two-year conflict between Israel and Hamas and has been celebrated across party lines. Georgia congressional lawmakers are no different, with both sides openly celebrating the agreement.
Representative Brian Jack (R) released a statement on X celebrating the deal as a historic achievement in the history of American diplomacy. Jack also stated that President Trump deserves to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for this effort.
As the living 20 Israeli hostages are freed and return home, we are reminded that President Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict is one of the most incredible achievements in our Country’s storied history of diplomacy.

Rep. Mike Collins (R) reflected on the negativity surrounding Trump’s approach to foreign policy as having been easily disproven. Collins believes that Trump has defied the odds.
They said he’d start WWIII.
They said he didn’t have the right team.
They said it was impossible.
But when others failed, President Trump got it done. pic.twitter.com/dKpAMSgx9c

Senator Raphael Warnock (D) wished the victims and their families strength. He also prayed for the eventual release of the dead hostages that Hamas has not released.
I join all Georgians in celebrating the release of the remaining living hostages from Gaza. Strength to them and their families.
I pray for the return of the remains of the deceased to their families, and for a lasting peace that protects Israeli and Palestinian children.
