Conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was shot and killed this week during a speaking event held at Utah Valley University. President Donald Trump and Georgia Republicans have united to mourn his death, remember his character, and pray for his family.

The President has ordered that Kirk's life be honored by lowering all American flags to half-mast.

Governor Brian Kemp issued the same order for the state of Georgia and called for prayer and healing throughout the country.

Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones remarked on the sad nature of this event, highlighting that Kirk only ever wanted to engage in dialogue rather than resort to political violence.

Attorney General Chris Carr praised Kirk's character but called this a 'sobering reminder' of how broken this country has become.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a photo of Kirk with his family and praised him for his character, remarking on the tragedy of someone killed while trying to engage in dialogue.

Rep. Mike Collins had a lot to say about this incident, praising Kirk as a generational leader, motivator, and great American patriot.

Rep. Buddy Carter praised Kirk for his patriotism and his ability to communicate with younger people about the issues that matter.
