The House Committee on Oversight has issued deposition subpoenas to several notable figures, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Merrick Garland, and Robert Mueller, for testimony on crimes perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein.

The motion to subpoena these people was approved in the Federal Law Enforcement Subcommittee with a bipartisan vote.

Additionally,  Chairman James Comer (R) has subpoenaed the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for records related to Epstein. This subpoena was also approved by the Subcommittee, which is eager to view these records and compel witness testimony.

According to the subpoena, the DOJ is supposed to return with the requested records by August 19th. For the others who have been subpoenaed, the dates are spread out and extend from August 18th to October 14th.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) cheered on this effort on X and expressed her determination to learn more. The whole affair with Epstein and the files on his case has remained an issue for Greene and like-minded supporters of President Trump

In a statement responding to this development, Rep. Greene called for an end to the ‘lies’ and ‘coverups.’ Not satisfied with the DOJ closing the Epstein case and concealing the files, Greene is eager to expose as much as she can.

Rep. Greene explained why this issue is so important in her statement. She stated, “Epstein files is not a hoax, he was a convicted pedophile and we demand to know the rich, powerful elites who approved of and participated in his evil ways.”

Rep. Greene has made this a regular issue of hers and has discussed it as far back as 2022. A bit more recently, in June, she called for the investigation to expand to Epstein’s partner, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Rep. Greene stated, “You know what else would be very good committee hearings? Investigating Jeffrey Epstein’s friends who enjoyed the hard work of this madam, who handed over minors to powerful men for sexual pleasure.”
