Senators Jon Ossoff (D) and Raphael Warnock (D) have secured a $12.8 million investment for the city of Johns Creek in Georgia. The investment comes in the form of a federal grant, geared towards upgrading all kinds of infrastructure for the town.ย

The grant comes through the Infrastructure Lawโ€™s Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant program. The grant will help Johns Creek replace two bridges, build new sidewalks and a multi-use trail, and upgrade drainage systems on Old Alabama Road over the Chattahoochee Tributary.

Sen. Ossoff called these funds vital and praised John Creekโ€™s leadership for helping to get this done.ย ย

โ€œJohns Creek residents deserve safe bridges and sidewalks, and I am pleased to deliver the funds for these vital quality of life upgrades,โ€ stated Sen. Ossoff. โ€œIt has been a pleasure working with Johns Creek leadership to get this done.โ€

Sen. Warnock believes that this work helps to bridge partisan divides and revitalize connections within the community.

โ€œSmart investments in our communities can bridge any political divide. This infrastructure funding will revitalize key bridges in the Johns Creek community and continue to keep our friends, families, and neighbors connected,โ€ stated Sen. Warnock. โ€œI am proud to have worked with Senator Ossoff to get it done and will continue to champion federal investments in Georgia.โ€

The mayor of Johns Creek, John Bradberry, expressed gratitude for Sens. Ossoff and Warnock, thanking them for helping to improve the quality of life in Johns Creek.

โ€œThis grant will help us improve safety and connectivity in the City and will benefit quality of life for our community,โ€ said Bradberry. โ€œIโ€™m grateful to our Georgia Congressional leaders for their support of our selection.ย  Projects like this one help make Johns Creek one of the best places to live in the nation.โ€

This isnโ€™t the first time that these Senators have worked to support a local community in Georgia. In June, Sens. Ossoff and Warnock successfully worked to preserve a water quality center in Norcross, GA.
