Georgia Republicans Stand With Trump After Falling Out With Elon Musk

Share

The clash between President Trump and Elon Musk has lawmakers divided. Georgia Republicans, however, stand united in backing Trump

The whole feud goes back to the big, beautiful bill. Musk publicly denounced it with his statement, calling it an abomination. Trump expressed his disappointment with Musk and has urged Republicans to pass the bill forward.

The feud escalated, and Musk went so far as to claim that Trump would have lost the election without his support. He stated on X, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”

Following this, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) made a long statement proclaiming her loyalty to Trump. She describes how she has supported Trump since 2016, despite the hardships.

Ultimately, Greene concludes, “America voted for Donald J Trump and HE is our PRESIDENT.”

Greene followed this up with another statement. This time, she responded to a video of supporters who gathered in Butler, PA.

Greene stated, “These are the people who put Trump in the White House and WE were with him BEFORE he was shot in Butler on July 13th. And WE knew he was going to win in November because WE were voting for him.”

With this statement, Greene is implying that her loyalty to Trump is more authentic than Musk’s ever was. Musk only started to openly support Trump after the assassination attempt at Butler.

Rep. Mike Collins (R) has taken a different approach. He has backed the validity of the big, beautiful bill.

Contrary to Musk’s opinion, Rep. Collins thinks that the bill will help the country. He commented, “Every single American will benefit from the lower taxes and increased national security in the One Big, Beautiful Bill.”

Finally, Rep. Buddy Carter (R) says he will always stand with Trump. This was to be expected, given that Carter describes himself as a ‘MAGA Warrior.’

Carter stated, “(Donald Trump) won a historic mandate because he delivers. I backed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to ensure we deliver on his promises, prevent the biggest tax hike in history, secure our border, and unleash American energy.”
