Despite the recent economic downturn related to the new set of tariffs, the March jobs report saw a massive increase. Over 228,000 jobs were added to the economy in March and many republicans were quick to celebrate.

Notably, a few Georgia republicans shared their opinions on X.

To start, Representative Mike Collins shared his opinion on the report with optimism. He derided the “experts” for underselling the potential for new jobs to be added.

Collins stated, “ New jobs report shows U.S. adds 228,000 jobs well above "expert" expectations and the first oil leases have been made under the new name: Gulf of America. It's a (good morning) for our country.”

Representative Andrew Clyde expressed his perspective on X. He remains optimistic and praised President Trump’s economic policies as being effective.

Clyde stated, “The U.S. economy added 228,000 jobs in March—far exceeding expectations. President Trump’s pro-growth policies are working to rebuild and reignite our economy.”

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene simply expressed her congratulations on X. She responded to a post from the Department of Labor. The post highlighted how this growth was spurred on by Trump’s reformative economic policy.

The post stated, “The March jobs report blew past expectations, with over 228K new jobs added! We are already seeing the benefits of (the President’s) effort to reshape and rebuild our economy to put the American Worker First.”

Alongside Georgia republicans, there were others who openly celebrated the report including the Speaker of the House.

Speaker Mike Johnson remarked that this signaled the return to economic prosperity. He went on to repeat the new mantra of America entering its next “Golden Age.”

Johnson stated, “The U.S. economy added 228,000 jobs in March, far exceeding expectations and demonstrating that (the President’s) policies are WORKING. We’re on our way to America’s Golden Age.”
