Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) (R) is ready to certify "President Trump's historic election." However, other members of the House might not be as fired up as she is.

The staunch Republican took to social media this weekend to inform her followers that on Monday, January 6th, Congress has the responsibility to certify President-elect Donald Trump's (R) 2024 election win.

The certification will happen, but she did pose that some obstacles are afoot.

"Washington has a winter storm warning for January 5-7th expecting possibly a foot of snow," she wrote on X, adding that "many members of congress left town this weekend even though they were told to stay."

House members going MIA has been a controversial topic as of late after it was uncovered that Texas congresswoman Kay Granger (R) has been living in a memory facility for the last 6 months, meaning that her constituents haven't received representation for that time as she has not performed her duties in the house.

Regardless of the House members that will be present tomorrow to certify President-elect Trump's win, MTG affirms that through hell or high-water she'll be traveling to the Capitol to take part in certifying the president-elect's win.

"I’m here and will walk to the Capitol if I have to," she wrote.

January 6th is a day that will live in infamy after the attack on the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. Democrats and Republicans have been divided on the attack with Democrats claiming it was an insurrection while Republicans counter that it wasn't.

Despite the attack, the president-elect decidedly won the 2024 election, and MTG has been celebrating the win ever since.

For Republicans like MTG, these next four years will be a shift from an "America Last" agenda to an "America First" agenda, and with House Speaker Mike Johnson's (R) reelection, supporters like MTG hope that the House will help the president-elect deliver on that mandate.
